GET TWEETS WITHOUT SCROLLING
Immerse yourself in the North Maine Woods and you’ll find a variety of feathered friends. On Fourth Debsconeag Lake, we’re neighbors with a family of loons, and each spring peregrine falcons have been known to nest on the cliffs overlooking our Point.

You don’t always need to look very far to spot our natural neighbors – just pay attention while walking around the Point. In 2025, a red-eyed vireo’s hanging nest, complete with speckled eggs, was found in a bush right in front of High Camp!

Whether you’re a seasoned birder or a newbie, we invite you to borrow a pair of binoculars from the Maine Lodge and see what you can spot. Be sure to document your findings in our camp nature journal so other guests know what birds to look out for!
“The quiet solitude and beautiful views provide a peaceful backdrop for family bonding and recharging your batteries. The birdlife – including nesting Peregrines! – provide hours of entertainment.“
