Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when making reservations, including the number of guests, age of participants, and any medical or physical conditions that may affect participation.
  • Follow all safety instructions, posted rules, and staff guidance while on property or participating in activities.
  • Supervise minors, dependents, or guests in your party.
  • Be responsible for any damage, loss, or theft caused by you or members of your party to cabins, equipment, vehicles, or other property.
  • Behave respectfully toward staff, other guests, and the natural environment, including wildlife, trails, and waterways.

Liability and Limitations:

  • Participation in activities and use of facilities is at your own risk. Outdoor activities and wilderness experiences may involve inherent risks, including accidents, injuries, and environmental hazards.
  • We are not liable for personal injury, illness, or property damage except as required by law.
  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Debsconeag Lake Camps and its staff, contractors, or affiliates from any claims arising from your actions, negligence, or failure to comply with rules.

Environmental and Safety Obligations:

  • Guests must respect all local, state, and federal laws, including regulations regarding wildlife, fire safety, and watercraft.
  • Open fires, campfires, or cooking may only be conducted in designated areas following posted safety rules.
  • Guests are responsible for their own first aid, life jackets, personal flotation devices, and any other safety equipment unless provided as part of a supervised activity.

Reservation Changes:

  • We reserve the right to adjust schedules, cabins, or activity availability due to weather, environmental conditions, or operational constraints.
  • Guests may request changes to reservations; such requests are subject to availability and at our discretion.

3. Deposit & Payment Policy

  • Payment is due in full at the time of reservation to secure your experience.
  • Reservations confirm your acceptance of all Terms and your acknowledgment of the inherent risks of wilderness experiences.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations or early departures; however, we may, at our discretion, allow rebooking at a later date based on availability and applicable rates.
  • Guests must provide accurate details for all participants, including names, ages, and relevant medical conditions.
  • We may refuse reservations that pose safety risks or exceed capacity limits.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before your reservation may be eligible for a credit to rebook within one year, subject to availability. Credits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Cancellations within 30 days of the reservation are non-refundable.
  • Weather, environmental hazards, or operational issues may result in modified, rescheduled, or canceled experiences; guests will be offered alternatives when feasible.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

5. Group Bookings

  • For family reunions or larger groups, contact us directly to discuss your needs.
  • Special rates or packages may be available for whole-camp bookings.
  • Group leaders are responsible for communicating camp rules, safety guidelines, and emergency procedures to all members of their party.

6. Submitted Content

  • Any photos, videos, or reports submitted by guests may be used by Debsconeag Lake Camps for promotional purposes.
  • Guests grant a worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, and distribute submitted content.
  • Submitted content must not violate third-party rights or contain offensive, illegal, or inappropriate material.

7. License & Ownership

  • All website content, including text, images, and maps, is owned by Debsconeag Lake Camps or our licensors.
  • Content may not be used for commercial purposes without written permission.
